How Do I Demo RoughDraftPro in Salsify?

This guide will help you install the demo version of the RoughDraftPro workflow in your existing Salsify implementation. This demo will allow you to leverage AI to generate a short description and feature bullets list for 10 products.

Please note: Before you go through the installation steps, it might be helpful to create properties specifically to store your AI-generated content: a string or rich text field for the generated short description, and an HTML field for the generated feature bullets.

Installation

While logged in to Salsify, click on the Workflow Library link that should be present in the left hand navigational rail.  Scroll through the list of available workflows until you find one called “AI Product Content Generator - Free Trial - Test Version” by Sitation.

Click on “get started with this template” in the top right of the screen.  This will open the configuration menu for the RoughDraftPro demo.

Configuration

Follow the directions on the screen to select which Salsify properties should be used with RoughDraftPro.  Next, select which properties you want to publish your new product content to.  Once input and output properties have been selected, you’re ready to click “install.”  Salsify will automatically create the workflow and take you to the custom workflow screen.

Generating Content

Select up to 10 products that you would like to generate content for and add them to the workflow.

Troubleshooting

• The content isn’t correct.

  • Errors in the content are typically due to missing, incomplete, or “thin” product data. Even with complete data, occasionally generative AI may invent product details on its own. The full version of RoughDraftPro has fact-checking capabilities to prevent these types of errors.
    
    

• I can’t see the workflow library in Salsify.

  • If you do not have access to Worfklows, please contact Salsify directly to enable them.
    
    

• I can’t finish my configuration.

  • Make sure every property you are selecting exists and has correct data in it before trying to configure RoughDraftPro.
    
    

• I can’t generate content for all of the products in my list.

  • The demo is limited to only 10 products. For additional products, please contact us.
